Professor Robert Ashford

Professor Robert Ashford has extensive research experience on a wide range of health related projects including: the use of pervasive computing in the home setting and its suitability to monitor house bound individuals with restricted mobility problems (EU ICT-1-7.1-ICT & ageing call) involving 13 European partners in HE’s institutions and SME’s ; European Social Funded project on healthy lifestyle and workability, being undertaken in collaboration with academic colleagues across various disciplines involving the development of a workability index to measure peoples work life balance; an active interest in musculo-skeletal projects in collaboration with the West Midlands Rehabilitation centre at Selly Oak and Staffordshire University Sports Science Department plus extensive experience in running randomised clinical trials. He has produced over 70 peer reviewed papers in a health/medicine.
